At Victory Programs, strong governance guides our work across Greater Boston. Serving as fiduciaries, our Board of Directors provides high-level oversight, strategic vision, and financial stewardship—ensuring our organization remains resilient, values-driven, and sustainable. Rather than managing daily operations, Board members partner with executive leadership to advance our mission through sound policies, resource development, and public advocacy.
To support this work, we are thrilled to welcome four exceptional new leaders to our Board of Directors, each bringing a deep commitment to health equity, supportive housing, and recovery.
Meet Our New Board Members
Bazl Taliaferrow-Mosleh
Bazl joins us as a Community Investments Analyst at Liberty Mutual Insurance, bringing an extensive background in financial analysis, non-profit budgeting, and strategic growth. Holding an MBA from Babson College, Bazl is a passionate community advocate who has served hands-on by volunteering in the kitchen at the Boston Living Center.
Janine Busby
Janine is a Sergeant Detective with the Boston Police Department’s Human Trafficking Unit and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. A dedicated Victory Programs supporter since 2016 and a key member of our 50th Anniversary Planning Committee, Janine also serves as President of the 40+ Double Dutch Club of Boston and sits on the board of the Roxbury Action Program.
Julie Crockford
Julie is a seasoned non-profit executive and former Executive Director of Empower Success Corps. With previous leadership roles as President of the Emerald Necklace Conservancy and Executive Director of the Boston Institute for Arts Therapy, Julie brings decades of expertise in non-profit management, strategic fundraising, and community outreach. A longtime supporter of Victory Programs, Julie has also been a dedicated member of our community and served as a key member of our 50th Anniversary Planning Committee.
Yolander Lewis
Yolander is a Shepherd House alumna, community advocate, and public sector professional recently retired from the MA Department of Unemployment Assistance. As one of Victory Programs’ most dedicated champions, Yolander brings invaluable lived experience and leadership through decades of mentorship, storytelling, roundtable discussions, and volunteer service.
Together, their diverse strengths across financial stewardship, public safety, executive consulting, non-profit growth, and lived advocacy will ensure Victory Programs continues to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across all 25+ of our programs.
