Runner Spotlight: Olivia Simpson

For Olivia, the 26.2-mile journey is personal.

As the program manager for Victory Programs’ Keys to Home, Olivia oversees housing case management for individuals across Massachusetts who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Having worked in homeless services for nearly three years—and with Victory Programs for over a year—she witnesses daily the resilience of the people walking through our doors and the tireless creativity of her fellow staff.

“I have seen firsthand the direct impact Victory Programs has on the homeless and housing insecure in Boston. I have witnessed the organization’s ability to transform lives, and I am honored to run this race for them.”

Running Full Circle in Boston

While Olivia has used running as a way to decompress and process the day for nearly ten years, this will be her very first full marathon. Having attended school in Boston and made the city her home, running 26.2 miles through its streets on behalf of the clients and programs she serves brings her journey full circle.

Beyond the Finish Line

A self-described “housing and urban planning nerd,” Olivia spends much of her working hours and personal study exploring systemic strategies to solve homelessness. Outside of work, she describes herself as a “Grandma at heart”—often found crocheting, reading, hiking, catching a movie, or spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Bernie.

How You Can Support Olivia’s Run

Every dollar Olivia raises directly fuels the 25+ health, housing, and prevention programs across Victory Programs.
