Bringing Color to the Portis Playground
Last summer, CREA volunteers built a brand-new playground—complete with a swing set, playhouse, and giant Connect-4 game—from scratch for the kids living at our Portis Family Home. This year, they returned to complete the space by painting a bright, cheerful mural along the playground walls, creating an inviting oasis for children to play while their families work toward long-term housing stability.
Property Cleanup & Prepping Living Spaces
Across multiple residential programs, CREA crews got straight to work both indoors and out to ensure our spaces feel like home. Inside, volunteers assisted with essential room preparations and thoughtful space arrangements, ensuring incoming residents arrive to a warm, dignified, and comfortable environment they can take pride in. Their hands-on efforts inside set a welcoming tone for every client beginning their journey with Victory Programs.
Outdoors, teams took on garden beds, porches, and sidewalks to keep our properties safe, clean, and beautiful for residents, staff, and neighbors alike. Going truly above and beyond, the crew even made extra trips to local nurseries to purchase additional flowers and mulch, taking deep personal pride in transforming our outdoor spaces into vibrant gardens of hope and healing that will be enjoyed all season long.

A Partnership That Empowers Community
Having corporate partners who understand the connection between physical environment and overall well-being makes a profound difference. CREA doesn’t just support affordable housing on paper—they show up in person to build community alongside us. This partnership is anchored by a deep personal connection: CREA President Tony Bertoldi is a former member of Victory Programs’ Board of Directors, bringing a longstanding commitment to advancing health, housing, and hope across our programs.
We extend our deepest gratitude to CREA, LLC for their continued dedication, hands-on hard work, and bright energy!
