Temporary service modifications for Boston Living Center and Keys to Home during elevator upgrades at 29 Stanhope St starting July 27.

Learn how to access care, meals, and support.

Temporary Elevator Outage & Service Modifications

Beginning Monday, July 27, Museum Properties and Victory Programs will be investing in a major upgrade to the elevator at 29 Stanhope Street—home to the Boston Living Center and our Keys to Home program (part of our Community-Based Housing division).

This necessary project will last approximately four weeks and will ensure our building remains safe, reliable, and fully accessible to all clients and program members for years to come.

Elevator Schedule:

  • Week 1 (July 27 – August 2): Complete closure while major equipment is replaced.

  • Weeks 2–4 (August 3 – August 23): Limited, planned operation at designated times while final upgrades are completed.

How We Are Maintaining Access Across Programs

Throughout this four-week project, Victory Programs remains committed to providing uninterrupted care, housing support, nourishment, and case management. On-site staff and clear signage in the lobby will help guide all clients.

🗝️ Keys to Home & 1-on-1 Support

For clients in Keys to Home or members scheduling 1-on-1 support at the Boston Living Center, our teams are fully active and available:

  • Appointments can be conducted over the phone or virtually.

  • In-person meetings can take place on the ground floor/lobby area or at an accessible off-site community location.

  • To coordinate or confirm an appointment, please call 617-236-1012.

🍱 Daily Meals To-Go (BLC)

Daily breakfast and lunch are available as to-go meals for pickup in the ground-floor lobby. If you do not have a nearby place to eat, you are welcome to eat your meal in the lobby in the designated area.

📦 Pantry Distribution (BLC)

On normal pantry days (2nd and 4th Thursday and Friday of the month), staff will bring grocery bags down to the lobby for easy pickup. Exact distribution times will be confirmed on pantry days.

🩺 Testing & Clinical Care

If you require HIV/HCV/STI testing, PrEP/PEP navigation, or STI treatment during these four weeks, our team will coordinate direct referrals and appointments with our accessible clinical partners. Drop by the lobby or call 617-236-1012 to set up an appointment.

🚶 Stair & Mobility Support

If you can navigate stairs using a walker or assistive device, staff are happy to assist by carrying your device upstairs for you.

> Please Note: For safety reasons, staff are strictly prohibited from physically lifting individuals or carrying wheelchairs up the stairs.

🎨 Group Activities & Classes

Because 2nd-floor community spaces will be temporarily less accessible, some wellness and educational groups may be rescheduled, modified, or paused. When the elevator is running during Weeks 2–4, select groups will operate at designated times. Please check in with staff for specific group updates.
