The Boston Living Center offers many opportunities to work directly with the HIV/AIDS community or in support of it. Your commitment will be meaningful and much appreciated, whether you want to volunteer for a few hours a week or a few times a month. Our volunteers are a diverse group and include students, corporate groups, church groups, alumni clubs and more.
For more information or to set up an appointment for an orientation, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Nicholas Oviedo-Torres at firstname.lastname@example.org or 617.318.3434 ext. 147.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING VOLUNTEERING WITH THE BOSTON LIVING CENTER
Potential volunteers begin with an orientation with our Volunteer Coordinator. The orientation lasts about 40 minutes and includes completing necessary paperwork, an interview and discussion of available positions and a tour of the Boston Living Center. A CORI (Criminal Offense Record Information) check is conducted on all volunteer candidates.
We welcome BLC members to become volunteers as well, but request that you wait three weeks after joining the Center before volunteering. Once this initial period is over, members are encouraged to volunteer – this is YOUR Center and your involvement is critically important!
