Victory House..........is a four to eight month residential substance abuse treatment program for men from all cultural backgrounds. Our program has historically been committed to providing treatment to individuals who are severely physically or mentally impaired. We are also a leader in serving clients with HIV infection and AIDS. No one is denied admission to Victory House because of these attending health problems or needs. |
| A Victory
House Resident is usually an alcohol or other drug dependent man who has
sustained multiple losses in his home and family, his friends and job,
or his health and hope.
He may be in
his late teens or his late sixties. He may be black or white, Asian
or Hispanic, straight or gay.
|
| In addition,
he may be HIV positive or have AIDS: he may be hearing impaired, epileptic
or diabetic; or he may have a history of mental illness.
Our Program...takes place in four phases:
|
| Our
staff...believes
that just as every individual is different, every treatment plan should
be unique.
All our counselors are experienced with the disease of addiction and its recovery process. We are trained in psychopharmacology and drugs of abuse. We are familiar with Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Al-anon and other programs in the local treatment network. Like the residents
of Victory House, we come from a variety of races and backgrounds.

We
are proud...of
our long-standing service record. We have operated as an effective
halfway house since 1975. Over the years, we have seen our residents
use this opportunity to win ground in their battle against the disease
of alcoholism and other drug addiction.
Every second a recovering person is sober is a victory. Above all else, we celebrate the many victories of those we serve. |
