Victory Programs’ Homelessness Prevention Initiative is aimed at slowing the epidemic of homelessness in our region. Studies have show that in Massachusetts over 1,600 families are seeking emergency shelter every evening. Our Homelessness Prevention Initiative provides education and skills building to our program residents to help them move toward housing stabilization. We also continue to provide assistance to “alumni” of our programs so that their independent housing placement can continue to be successful.

This initiative responds to the immediate and basic needs of our all of the residents that come through our doors. By providing educational services and technical guidance around housing applications and other financial resources as well as credit and money management counseling, we help people find the stability they need to remain safely housed.

As with all of our programs, our Homelessness Prevention Initiative is aimed at empowering our residents with the skills and tools they need to live healthier and independent lives in their communities.
