Victory Programs’ Bobbie White Housing Services has a long history.  In the early 1990’s Victory Programs entered into a collaboration with the Commonwealth Land Trust to provide services to residents living in a CLT property located at 698 Mass Ave in Boston’s South End.  At the time this was considered a very innovative service model and was responding to the housing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS.  Victory Programs Executive Director Jonathan Scott named the residence in memory of his long-time friend and community activist Bobbie White, and the Bobbie White House was born.

The Bobbie White House was one of the first programs specifically designed to address the needs of those living with HIV/AIDS and substance use disorders.  For many years Victory Programs has provided extensive services to the people living within the doors of this program.

As the HIV/AIDS epidemic evolved Victory Programs began to transition this model of services from strictly on-site services to a more versatile, mobile and flexible service delivery system.  This has allowed Victory to be more effective meet the relevant housing and service needs of people living with HIV/AIDS and substance use disorder as well to reach more people.  Today Victory Programs’ Bobbie White Housing Services Program reaches clients located at Cedar Family Home, Ruah House in Cambridge as well as some clients living independently in scattered site housing.
