Our story is a simple one. One woman, one idea, one plot of land. Since 1990, when a small plot was reclaimed in the heart of the city, reVision House has given shelter and hope to pregnant and parenting homeless women – its Urban Farm growing an appreciation of the land and the bounty it can offer. The reVision Urban Agriculture Project works in conjunction with reVision House, a shelter for homeless young women and their children located in the Franklin Field neighborhood of The reVision Urban Agriculture Project has three main objectives shaping our work and directing development of the urban farm: small-scale, green, economic development; community food security; and job training and education. These goals are woven into the fabric of the farm and the programs we operate. |
